Creating the Trust - A Major New Initiative

By early 2003 it is our intent to have established the HeartSpace Trust. Due to the changing nature of our work, with more focus now on healing classes, healing sessions, retreats, writing and question/answer evenings, there is a need for fundamental restructuring of our activities. For over thirty years now, Nigel has been travelling, teaching, and studying the inner traditions. His journey, as most of you know, has taken him directly to the feet of the Purna Avatar of this age - Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and Divine Mother Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari. (See article). While he will still be teaching classes, he is pulling back from the intensity of his schedule and offering more in the way of the above form of service.

As such, we are establishing the HeartSpace Trust to handle all financial affairs. Through the trust, it is our hope to be able to offer a wider service to people who would otherwise not be able to experience the benefits of the above activities. Such a transition implies that whiles there will still be charges levied for our services, there will be a chance for those who are both able and inclined to do so, to gift tax deductible donations to the trust. Such a shift frees us both up to be able to focus more on the provision of the healing and teaching and less on balancing the books and thereby enabling us to continue in this work. Many of you who are engaged in this work know that there is a fine line between providing the service and what one charges. But there is another maxim that also applies - "A Light worker also has to pay the light bills". As such, this significant move is designed to alleviate financial burdens on both ourselves and our sponsors and help to provide a greater breadth and depth of service to our worldwide community. We will notify you all once the trust is in place and should you wish to make a tax deductible donation to HeartSpace, not only will it be welcome, but we will readily make available to process by which it can be done.

So here are some of the ideas currently being explored:

• Expansion of services to include video recordings of all evening meetings. These will then be made available for purchase. Such videos will also be made available for individuals who wish to become HeartSpace Local Satsang Volunteers. These volunteers will then hold regular (weekly and/or monthly) meetings in their homes to which they invite friends and watch the video prior to sharing a meditation and dialogue on the topics introduced.
• There will be programmes offered to hospitals, educational institutions and prisons. Such offerings may well be by way of video or direct presence of Nigel or a HeartSpace volunteer equipped with the needed materials and insights.
• Rather than classes, there will be the one evening events, Retreats and Intensives. These will be offered in accord with specific guidelines and at regional locations around the states and across the world.
• Local Access Television. A good way to get the message out to those who are interested is through the Local Access TV networks. This pathway will be developed once the recordings of videos are in place.
• We will develop a new website and gradually shift all relevant materials from nigeltaylor.com to the Trust website. This will carry a full range of books, audio tapes, video tapes, and discourse from Nigel. Plus it will carry materials of the same from Sai Baba and Amma. There will also be a continuation of the photo gallery and listings of Regional Volunteers and so forth.
• All recordings will be categorised and made available through the Trust Bookshop. The categories will be very precise and the range of topics will reflect the ongoing issues that are unfolding across the world and in people's lives.
• There are many ways that donations can be offered and these will be listed for your review and consideration. More on that later.

In order to make this a reality, there is much work to be done at this end. That work ultimately involves the enlisting of a wide range of volunteers from around the world. These volunteers will bring with them all manner of expertise: bookkeeping, database management, video taping and splicing, audio recoding and reproduction skills, website development, financial management, teaching and coordination, publicity and promotions, legal expertise, and so forth. Some of these skills will be centred in the local areas of New Jersey in the US and Perth in Australia. Others will be utilized throughout the world, being located in those places where the individual is best able to assist in the most effective manner.

I hope that you are looking forward to this as much as we are! This project will not unleash itself without enormous transitional effort. It has already been in the pipeline for quite some time and once it is in place we then will be slowly building all the pieces of the above mentioned activities. Any way that you are able to assist in this effort will be greatly appreciated. Please note that a significant portion of this will be timed in accord with the release of the new book on Sai Baba and the Divine Mother.
